Thanks Jeff... nice to hear that story.

Mur was great... called me many times during the year when he was passing through Oceanside on his way to or from Baja... I miss that!

Those of you who also read Baja Nomad may have seen the Mission Santa Maria threads and about our group trip there coming up in a few weeks... Well, it was Mur with me when I first went in there. Because we BOTH fell from our rides and got bloody on that steepest grade a mile from the mission is why I gave it the name 'WIDOWMAKER' and why Murray called us 'Baja Blood Brothers'!

I hope Mur is enjoying paradise and is keeping busy telling the other angels about the 'ones that got away'!

Jeff, I Just read your tribute to Murray. I miss him so much. Fishing is just not the same without him. If you need any contact info for his kids let me know.
Death sucks. I just lost my dad unexpectedly last week. The pain is very real, but life is for the living and I still have many family and friends to go on for.

Murray and I had a plan before he died to buy a sailboat and spend as much time as possible fishing the channel islands and baja using it as our mother ship. I still ended up buying the boat and am trying to use it as much as possible in his honor. He would have enjoyed it so much.

The pain of the boat will likely endure; people tell me...

Hopefully, as time goes by, you'll hurt a little less about your dad, and cherish more all the good memories you have of him.
