Carlos did our conversion from FM-3 to FM-2, wrote both request letters - my wife and I - and removed my wife as a "dependent" on my FM-3/2....she now has her "own". Took about 8 days (Easter holiday was involved). Very satisfied with his work, and he informed me of the progress by e-mail and a phone call. Will use him next year for renewal.

We are at the one by Colonet. I'm really looking forward to being there over the Memorial day long week end.

He is still at his old location in front of the immigratoin bldg. as far as discussing his Fee i dont think it would be ethical.
Interesting note I got my parteners Fm3 for the first time localy and not have to go to San Diego like i did when I got mine.
In my opinion and experince in Mexico it would not be in anyones best interest to Discuss terms and conditions of any and all legal experinces in so much they can vary from day to day and individual to individual.

From what is being said around here, Blanca's son is picking up where she left off....same office and number. Some here know of him and have confidence in him.

I wonder how that works if we change states? I could start now in baja but I plan to live permanent in Baja Sur at the end of next year. Is it worth even starting out with this until then?
OK, I will be talking face to face with locals shortly....patience grasshopper.

You can change states - immigration is a federal office, not a state office. You will need to go to a INM office and report your change of location / address when that happens.
