I think I have the problem isolated. A skin update file I installed does not include the bbpassword and bbuserid cookie comments in the code. If you used the log out function after the update it removed the bbpassword and bbuserid comments and does not add them back in after login. I tried adding them in manually to the new template update but it is giving me a format error in test. I am waiting for a bug fix from the software source. Should have it back within 48 hours max.

OK, I just edited the log in section of the forum and added a "Remember Me" checkbox which should be immediately below the boxes for your username and password. When you log onto the forum next time just check the Remember Me box before logging in and it should force the proper cookie settings into your browser.

Let me know if any of you still have problems with it. Thanks for your patience...

There was never a doubt in my mind that you would correct the problem in a short time.
Good Job Sir.

CAUTION.... For those who want to stay logged on

The Quick Links button above, which I use a lot, is dangerously close to the Log Out. I almost clicked on it.

Way too late with the warning. Bet I don't do that again.

Still not working for me.....but it is not isolated to this site. Maybe I should uninstall and reinstall my browser.

who needs John W. Scherer and the Video Professor?!?!?

Just ask Grunion!....or Marty...... or 'Gringo............

Probably shouldn't muddy the waters with asking how to get the browser to remember login info after I've clicked ..."don't remember" when it asked "do you want to remember this info for next time".............

I'm working with IE, have to type in the full login info every time. Don't even get the shortcut of typing the first letter and it auto-fills. And I have checked the "remember me" box but it seems that since the browser doesn't remember it, nothing else does either.

edit-on a good note, I just toggled out of here to check other stuff online, came back and was still logged in.
