True, but generally I don't care for WYSIWYG interfaces and prefer just inserting the code from a "cheat sheet". I haven't tried this site's editor yet, though.

User CP(top left)>>Edit Options(middle left)>>scroll to 2nd from the bottom: Message Editor Interface>>Select the middle one Standard/Extra.

That has all the smilies/format controls, but is not the 3rd one What You See Is What You Get. That one applies any coded instructions inside the editing box and has been a real pain for me. I use choice #2: Standard Editor - Extra Formatting Controls, then click Preview Post to see how it looks.

I followed you direction and when I hit Quote, I get the emoticons on the right side of the screen.
When I hit quick reply, I don't get them ????

Your setting were correct yesterday when you said you could not see them.
If you were using the quick reply that is the reason.

David, could you please do as Ron suggested & send this stuff to him via private message? It's making it difficult to find brief messages in amongst long lines of flashing emoticons....No offense meant & I hope none taken.

Yes, please. We're all having fun with the emoticons, but I missed a post that I needed to know about because of all these.
