OFF GRID CONSTRUCTION
I have the perfect place picked out in my mind. And i really enjoy this forum. The bulk of my const. exp. Comes from working 28 years in reinforced concrete trade as a Ironworker. I am very familar with tilt up concrete structures. I was involved in a lot of prison const in northern Ca. The method we used was to pour wall panels with styrafoam sandwiched in side. The pannels also had electric conduit and window frames embeded in them yoy can pour roof panels the same way..Just think it would be the perfect way to build off grid you could pour panels as money and tine allowed The longer they lay there the stronger they get, Heavy as they are they wouldnt walk away when the day comes move in a small motorcrane and set the pannels in place. Design the panels small enough to conform to the size of equipment avaliable to erect them. Vola you have the most eficent temperture controled box you could possibly build.

Re: Conventional Framing Question
Insulate them and use a good texture coating on the exterior and they will last a long time.
