so is registering and voting only for "new" emails...as in... not previously registered?!?

Is there a way to delete the original registration or something?

I'd hate to see this project out because in the first week there were 32,000 votes for something and our 1600 votes can't be counted any more.

Would have been nice for the entrants to know that up front and then saved our votes for week 3 or 4. Oh Well. Keep us posted as to developments in this vote effort.

Classic Internets commercial:

guy clicks "submit" on some insurance/mortgage/similar quote site(after of course coughing up his main/only email), site responds with "You will receive a reply in 1...5...10 days...

eventually..."

oh no, BG... but I used 2 of the 4 on the first go-around.

Just hoping we don't have to resort to the "create-a-new-email-on-google-hotmail-etc" .....

If there is a way to erase the email registration and vote again using existing emails.....that's all I was looking for~

No, it looks like once it is registered and voted with it can't be used again...

So I still have 2 emails waiting in the wings.

Should we wait for the last minute "hail Mary" or set up a strategic next-to-last run?

Do I remember correctly that this is a 5 week campaign?

I registered last night and the Corazon Link was gone. Is voting over? BTW have you been to the Abalone Plant in Erendira below Coyote Cal's? Also do you know why the huge plant south of town went "Belly Up"?

After you register you have to click on the link in the email you receive back from the website to activate your voting privileges. Then you can click on our iniciative to vote:

Our Abalone Project

I am not sure which plant you refer to that went belly up? If they did it had to be for under capitalization or poor design resulting in poor yield / growth. Abalone do require a lot of care and growing them in tanks, outside their natural environment is difficult. That was one of the reasons we decided to replant them back into their natural habitat.

There are 3 aqua culture operations. One at Malibu Sur a few miles south of Erendira. The huge plant that what I heard had the withering foot infect it(pure rumor no verification) and the plant that is in full operation just south of Coyote Cal's.

Those are some of the common problems with attempting to cultivate abalone in tanks in lieu of its natural habitat.

We did not make the list of the 20 projects selected for final evaluation - those chosen were all national in scope while ours is a regional project. We did get enough votes over the four weeks to be among the top 1% of vote getters which has turned out to be a positive thing. It caught the eye of several national politicians who took notice and have pledged to help our cause, one who was here last week.

We also have been contacted by a few private organizations who have taken interest, including a green focused investment group out of San Francisco that will be here on Thursday to take a tour of the project as well as another group out of Alaska that wants to discuss the project.

Things are looking up...

I hope your project continues forward. I have listened to guys tell me about the prevalence of abalone, lobster, fish and on and on for years. The only place I truly experienced that myself was out at the Channel Islands....quite different than our direct coast, sadly.
I truly hope there is SOMETHING left for my kids to see.

That would be Kojo - he does seem to like to go for the legs. Beba and Kobe will just come at you full speed, knock you down and then... well, you know...

But you have to give them good reason first - something like coming in unannounced for example...

Seriously though, they are a great pack of dogs and take very good care of Cristina when I am away...
