I dont iknow if anyone remembers but back in the 70s when honda introduced the mini 50s they had a couple of twin brothers I think they were from Arkansas, that made publicty appearences for Honda, the two topped the scales at 600+ pounds each. they allegedly rode these things on the farm because of their size walking was difficult.

No....I was 26. It was 1967 and in those days, you could get on the inter-states with almost anything. I rode on the shoulder of the road....50 to 100 miles each day. At the end of each day, I'd pull and clean the plug.
It wasn't the Trail Bike model...it was the street model. I forget the numbers.

I was out there for over a month , but I spent some time in Tahoe and a couple of other places.
It was no big deal, really. I got the inspiration from a friend of mine who rode the same model scooter the length of Baja....before the road. Now...that was an adventure.
Just by coincidence, I had the same bike and I wanted to go home, Newport Beach, and I didn't feel like shipping it so I packed up and rode it. Stayed in campgrounds all the way and I had a fly rod and a frying pan.
It was fun.

Call me crazy too... as that sounds like one hell of a good trip...

Just a thought... ya know I never used a map.... ever when in Baja or just about any place I went ... back in the 60's ... we just headed south, north or which ever way we went ... that was it...

I've flown as a passenger all over Baja and all the pilots use are road maps.

Not like that mini-bike. I think that one is for little kids.
It was closer to the middle photo of the three , but older and it was a 50.
Remember....this was around six wars ago.

OK....The bike on the right that daddy is riding is the type. I don't remember what year it was made, but I bought it, well used, up in Jackson in '67.

Yeah....that could be the one. It had the high gas tank so you had to get aboard like a true "biker." I missed a good oportunity to have my own MC gang.....of one.

Yep....I was a 1%er. VROOOM VROOOM
