Fried cat doesn't resemble chicken much. So, no worry there. However, slaughtered cat does resemble rabbit. Living in Holland during WWll, during our 44/45 hungerwinter, all cats disappeared from view, since unscrupulous characters slaughtered them and sold them for rabbit. So Mom, getting wise to this, demanded the feet were left on, so species could be established. Kind of a gory tale, but the truth. For the folks that were duped, the story went that they actually tasted like rabbit (not chicken)

Great writing Ron. you do have a nack for storytelling. Maybe should write a book about your worldly travels, something titled like " Trials and tribulaions of a Gringo in faraway lands "
