Default Re-post from Nomad... Great time last night!

Thanks Mike for a really great evening... your first slide show was a success!

The fun began at the Mariscos roach coach on 30th and Grape...

John M & Barbara. These were terrific tacos folks! My son Chris and I each had a garlic shrimp and a marlin taco... both excellent!

Baja Geoff, Curt 63, Bob H

Chris and Chuck (Baja Warrior)

Then we drove to the hotel in Mission Valley for the show:

Lots more Nomads were there, sorry if we didn't get to talk, and I hope more photos will be posted!

It was a nice evening. I am very glad to have been there.

EDIT: Mike had some killer philosophy that the replies below mentioned and resonated deep with the way he put it... Fear IS the killer of dreams!

It was a great evening and well worth the long round trip to see it. It was great to finally meet DavidK and several other Nomads I only knew online up until now. Looking at the photos I can see that I should have worn some sunblock when we poured the losa last Friday!

Congratulations to Mike for a great presentation and thanks to Doug for helping to put it all together...

We had a long wait at the border Bob - I forgot about the big soccer game in Tijuana that afternoon and because of that I arrived after the presentation had started and wasn't able to mix with the other Nomads. Hopefully next time...

Wish I knew about it. Got to keep up on the news, I was even in the U.S. then. Darn.

Good luck Mike, can't wait to read the book!

David, you did a wonderful job mapping Mike's adventure with Don-Kay! Where is Don-Kay these days?

I believe Don-Kay is living the good life on a ranch just outside Loreto, last I heard...

Looking forward to the book, Mike.

BG, we dropped by in February, and Don-Kay had a prime place behind Mike's house. Sola was in charge of security (at least until you get through the gate) and the rest of the team were scattered around the courtyard. It was very cool to meet such adventureous characters, and Mike, too
