Yep, this is sometimes an issue with Bancomer.

Restricted how?? Could you please give more definitive information? Are you referring to ATM (machine) restrictions or restrictions to your ATM card? I've never had a problem using my card at any ATM machine or as a debit card for purchases, so I'm confused about what you're saying.

Or Jesse, since you agreed, can you please expand on this statement?

We go to a Bancomer teller and make a deposit but when we go to an ATM and try and use our card it comes up as restricted and we can't get money out. We go back to the bank and they say it will work "Manana" but it doesn't so we have to go back and go to a bank officer and get them to reopen it. This usually happens after we have been gone for a few months.

Oh, no wonder I've never encountered this....I never go 30 days w/o using my card either at an ATM or as debit card. Also, the fact that my SS is deposited monthly, is pretty much assuring an ongoing active account status. Thanks for the explanation, Scott C.
