The "industrialized world" that this week beat its citizens bloody in the streets while their government "for the people" sold them into the 21st century version of slavery (soothingly marketed as social democracy) to European, US and Chinese banks That industrialized world?

Stupid citizens, not an an ounce of gratitude that they have "advanced and don't use capital pinishment.

Using Mexico as an example against capital punishment is probably on somewhat shaky ground. A significant percentage of the population here today is growing weary of the narco violence and in favor of restoring the death penalty in Mexico for certain crimes...

If all the bleeding hearts want to do away with the Death penalty. then do awaw with Death Row. Put them in with the prison population .Let the population take care of them. That should loosen up a lot of expense of maintaning a death row.

That is quite situational. Historically, it is just the same thought process that has created bad law.

It's somewhat akin to what is currently happening in Europe with respect to the migration of Muslims. Many countries were more than happy to welcome foreign immigrants that woulod provide cheap labor for them.

But given the Jihad, so to speak, that has resulted in numerous "terrorist" incidents in Europe, the people are now more inclined to favor laws that would not only limit immigration, but would limit the rights of immigrants to conduct their lives according to their historic principles.

Just saying that history requires the long view in able to determine what was the right choice.

I can really agree that the cartel violence has been enormous and has had a prfound effect on the average citizen, but in the long run, the capital punishment idea, will eventually prove to be less that the right idea.

Please.....quit talking like this as well as your other painful instances. Pretend you are uniformed and just returned from a war zone.....for your country, of course.

Ohhhhhhh Lord......why do I continue to suffer

My guess is that it is going on right now, in many of the violence plagued regions of Mexico. These cases are handled by the federal police and military at the street level and in real time, never bothering with any of the cost or trouble of a court appearance...
