With the wind we've been experiencing lately it's been choppy most afternoons...

At Km72 of the toll road (near Porta La Salina) is a place called Clam Beach they have camping on the beach at $10.00 a day for 4 peeps. there is an additional charge for more people. This is no frills, no running water or toilets. They also have a RV campground that rents for $75.00 a day. I'll try to locate a website or internet adverstisement for you. (see link below) At Km 58 off the old road near La Fonda is a place called De Jose La Polapa ( I think) this place is located on a cliff that overhangs the ocean. There is a path down to the ocean. this is a surfers hang out. I remember many sumers back surf clubs would come down from San Diego and teach people to surf. This place has toilets but no drinking water. There used to be showers and there is a handgliding airplane hanger located next to the campsite. I don't know what they charge. If you are truly interested I can call someone and get more information for you. This campsite is located in the city of La Mision.

I think Clam beach prices are OUTRAGIOUS now. This was their price a few years back. I lived their for about 12 years and paid $175.00 mo. The owner remolded and depending on lot size increased rents to $450, $550, and $750 mo.+ add 10% tax on top of rent. The owner added more rules than carter has pills. I'm glad we found our lot where we live now. I don't think any of the orgional renters remained after the price increase.

Yes $10.00 a day camping is still available, It's on the beach with no frills, (toilets, or drinkable water). For $75.00 a day you get full hookups. I posted their site so readers could look things up.
Over the last 5 or 6 years hardly anyone has camped at their $75.00 a night site. On the other hand their $10.00 camping gets quite crowded especially on holidays.
