I went up Monday. The road was fine with a few hundred yards of construction.
About mid way, it rained hard and my pretty, just washed Jeep was a mudball by the time I hit the gate.

I don't like seeing clean Jeeps. It means you're not having enough fun. Doesn't the caked on mud work for sound and vibration dampening?

My brother-in-law just drove north on that route yesterday and said that it was smooth sailing. I too would be interested in finding out if they are going to open a ready lane over at Tecate.

They've experimented with a Ready Lane, but I haven't heard anythng about one in future plans.
One of the problems has to be space. The morons who designed the US crossing couldn't have done a worse job.

If, in the future, they do put one in place, we can all say goodbye to any crossing time advantages enjoyed now, so I'm against it.
