Post Jimena weakens as it plows into Mexico, killing 1 (AP)
AP - Hurricane Jimena unleashed flooding that killed at least one man and cut off hundreds of people in remote fishing villages on Mexico's Baja California peninsula before mellowing into a drifting tropical storm Thursday.

Seen some pictures of the damange on the "Baja Onion". Lots of damage. Heard the new bridge in Santa Rosalito is gone and lots of damage in Muluge and San Carlos. Such a shame. A lot of roads out . the drive to Cabo was getting good now another set back. People in Southern Baja rely on the roads to get goods transported in. There will be lots of shortages of everything for awhile.

I'm a tad upset with the dearth of coverage on US media outlets. I guess as long as Los Cabos was spared, it doesn't matter much in the States.
