Default Thanks David K!!!

As we are just getting started I really appreciate all the help David K brings us along with his experience and expertise. It is a big contribution to the new forum and I will spend some time looking at the latest maps posted to see if more detail would be useful on any.

Also David, please feel free to suggest any sub-forums you would like to see to make it easy to manage the map posts...

El gusto es mio señor!

Check the Baja Sur forum (try posting), as I got an error page... that's why all I have posted on on the Baja Norte forum. However, when showing maps of the entire peninsula, it would seem correct to put those in Baja Norte as we look from north to south, typically. Perhaps a seperate Baja Sur forum is not needed...?

I look forward to more 'Baja Talkers' (is that what we are called here?) requesting close up map images... It takes a bit of work, but it is fun to get close to Baja, so-to-speak.

Thanks Ron... I just tried it and it works now!

I will try adding a photo using browse, from my files... What is the size limit? This one is at 58 kbs.... Nomad requires under 50 kbs.

David, you won't have that problem. The file size limit is 4 MB. I have a lot of server room and bandwidth so that shouldn't be a restriction. I believe that I have it set so you can upload up to 4 attachments per post...

I see!! Is the actual size always going to be the same (large thumbnail, as it appears on the posts, no matter what the file size?

I will try a 'bigger' file size image!:

Okay... I previewed the three 'large' images... and your forum reduces them automatically to the same small size. That will prevent over-sized photos from 'stretching' the forum sideways as what happens on Nomad with images over 800 pixels in width, or so.

Thanks Ron!

I am playing with that right now. Let me make some changes and then upload some more so we can see how it comes out. Please give me your feedback - very appreciated!
