I see some familiar "faces" here from the Tijuanablog forum as well.

My husband and I moved to Rosarito April 2009, so we're very new here. But I've probably been through the Baja 100+ times. I used to visit a lot with my grandfather.

Our son moved back from Argentina about a month ago and so he's here in Rosarito as well.

And we have a 150# Rhodesian Ridgeback and 3 chihuahuas.

We have settled easily in Mexican life. Only question is why we didn't do this years ago! I'm writing this from my home office, watching dolphins play in the surf. How can you NOT love this place?

Oh, and my Spanish is this combination of what I learned in Spain, Puerto Rico, Argentina and Mexico, with very little ability to conjugate verbs. I talk Spanish like a world traveler who is 4 years old.

Hi Diane - Welcome! The long timers here are very helpful.

I'm new too but not in Baja yet. We bought a house just a bit north of you and plan on retiring this year. We are getting the house ready to sell in Northern CA - too many projects to finish 'cause all of our extra time was spent going to Baja!

We want to say by the end of the year _ "why didn't we do this sooner" like you.
