Default Aquaculture Pens??

Taking a stroll with my forefinger on GoogleEarth, I came across something in the water out near Playa Balandra that I'd never notice before....either on GoogleEarth nor driving out there. But it isn't really located anywhere in direct line-of-sight from the highway.

I searched the water in front of La Bufadora, Rosarito & Ensenada to see if I could find the tuna pens there to do a visual comparison....either I'm blind or maybe the Tsunami took them!!

IFthe attachment opens to an actual pic, what I'm talking about is in the lower left corner centered just above the words "Imagery Data". Since I sincerely doubt that Baja has underwater missile silos, me thinks these must be aquaculture pens. Confirmation, please??

Damn!! It looks like it's NOT going to open as a pic!! WHY??? It's a .BMP file. Is there a Moderator in the house with nothing better to do than help the blind & Ummmmmm....Errrrrrr....attachment-challenged?

They may be uploaded by you, but they're all ours now.

That's a joke, By The Way.

They're hosted on our server, and we have access to them. When you upload that is what happens; you're sending us a copy to write on our hard drive.

P.S. I zoomed in near Balandra, and they do appear to be aquaculture pens. The ones south of La Bufadora are clearly visible as well.

Well, if you're soooooo good, where is the close-up snapshot I took & am just getting ready to post?

I told you I'm blind! Maybe I was looking too close to shore....I've seen them, so I know they aren't way out at sea! But it is good to hear that the Tsunami didn't carry all those tuna to Japan!

Posting .jpg close-up now....(that's a warning to please stand by!)

I posted the ones south of La Bufadora/Ensenada; you're posting La Balandra/La Paz.

That's it; I'm turning on your webcam now.

I'm turning OFF my "Window to the World" right now! Right after I get decent! So much for the term "in the privacy of your own home"!

I figured those were the northern ones....but I'll be damned if I can find them on Google Earth (still!)!

Thank you Marty!!! I found the tuna pens on the Bing map! And here I thought GoogleEarth was "it" for satellite images.

Please don't turn on my webcam until after my shower!

One thing I wish all the map sites did would be to include the date of the image.

The only way you can infer it now is to personally know prominent features and when they appeared/disappeared, so you can figure it out yourself.
