Hell No! Just a bit more trivia- The video is actually Fess Parker singing. A guy named Bill Hayes cut a record of the song and his version spent 13 weeks at #1 on the charts. Seems like music has changed a bit, too.

Fess/Davy was one of my first crushes when we got TV in the '50s. I was maybe 8? My little brother got an Old Betsy replica for Christmas, and there's still a pic floating around of him sleeping with it in his fake coonskin cap.
