So, which US carrier was greasing the palm of the trade representative? Like we don't have monopolistic situations in the US? In fact, just heard that folks expect an announcement in the next couple of week that United and US Airways will be merging. That's gonna be real great for competition.

The US should butt out of Mexico and take care of its own telecomms problems. In December, while stranded at the Atlanta airport, I made two three-minute collect calls from a pay phone to my family in Ohio. Their phone bill was charged US $66. For that, I could have talked to them for more than 7 hours from my Telmex land line here in La Paz.
