Badgers in Punta Chivato??

We found a Badger one day while we were crabbing and claming down by an estuary on the south side of the bay one morning back in May. We noticed him just when we were leaving. He reared his back end like he was ready to strike, but we backed off and let him be. He was not longing for the world we think. He was lathargic. Let nature take it's course.....We ate the other critters (crabs/clams) that night for dinner!!!

Wow! Smart move in keeping your distance as they do have a very mean and vice-like bite. I hadn't seen one down here before your photo. Thanks for sharing...

Nice photo---thanks, Did not know there were badgers there.

It is nature, but always difficult to come across a sick animal. :sad:
