The server on which this forum is hosted received a nasty attack today and as a result the forum was down for a number of hours as some of you may have noticed. After a complete system restore everything seems to be back up and working.

Hey if you lost all those pic's.... just do another house...

Or.... BG might be over doing some grouting, painting and just about anything else as required...

And I would hope a film crew on site at all times..

Nice of you to let us know, BG. Most of us have have been down from some nasty attack or another and understand.....I thought you'd taken CM break.

The timing of the attack was unfortunate. Marty caught it first and emailed me early yesterday, just minutes before I received a call that some folks from INAPESCA had showed up unannounced, and I had to make an impromptu trip out to the island with them. That kept me offline all day else I would have been able to get things back up hours earlier.

The good news is that We got two thumbs up from INAPESCA and the offer of some additional federal resources for our project. So the day wasn't all bad...

Gee. My first thought was a bounced check!

BG, sucky news on the server, but great news on the results of the cold-call visit from INAPESCA!

And I'm sure you undoubtedly heaved a great sigh of relief (for your physical well-being) that pics didn't fall by the wayside!

We're pretty sure we've got it licked. However, we're double-checking our virus protection/security, and would like to remind all that it's a good idea to run some kind of antivirus regularly.

I use Webroot (pay; haven't tried their free) and TrendMicro Housecall, and have been told that the free Microsoft Security Essentials works well together with Windows Firewall.
