Default Beware ho drives your car in Mexico

Today I have to pay a 500.00 USD find I got in April for 2 grams of weed while crossing the border, a worker put it on my sun visor in my car, I sent him to the store in Estero Beach he said he had it in his pocket so he put it there in case the polica pulled him over, it cost my friend his visa and the CBP write reports not correct I will pay the fine, but I will fight to get this off my record, I lost my chance on getting my Sentri.

Guess that shows we need to be very careful who we let drive our cars. Could have been much worse...

I have a friend who walked across the border in 1989 after a night drinking in TJ wearing a borrowed shirt. They found a joint in the shirt pocket. He told them "If I knew it was there, I would have smoked it- not crossed over with it." No matter- he paid $2000 and it still comes up in the computer when he crosses. I've actually heard him repeat that story to customs on several occasions- who laugh at the "I would have smoked it" part. It will always haunt him- but at least it was one joint- not a kilo or something....

I know of a couple of similar stories including one friend who has been denied a SENTRI pass twice because of a DUI a few decades ago. It makes me wonder if they would deny Bush and/or Cheney a SENTRI pass? They had 3 DUI's between them.

I guess the requirements to get a SENTRI pass are stricter than those to become president or vice president of the country...
