Sure it wasn't the geriatric driver crashing into your house?
![]() Seriously, noproblemo, hope everything is ok...no matter how many years, they are unnerving. I've heard that the sun goes over the yard arm immediately after an earthquake....pull the cork on a decent bottle and sip up! |

Getting kinda used to them now, hubby and I just look at each other to see if the other is feeling it, if not we figure it's either blood pressure too high or something. Then one of us simply says, "earthquake again" if a big one ever hits after all of these we probably just sit here and wait for it to stop...

Okay...I'll fess up to a really embarassing moment. As a young un' I'd been in a lot of them, biggest being a 6.4. When I moved to NYC, my first job was at street level in a small old building right above a subway station. Mid afternoon, the room rumbles and shakes and I am under my desk in a heartbeat, the other half dozen people in the room were stunned. Calmly, I reseated myself, noticing the gaping stares. We sorted it out....they'd never been in an earthquake and I'd never been above a subway. Felt like a complete fool!

Funny how we just adjust to things and sort of get set in our ways, never did I think I'd be calm during a quake, now just sit and compute waiting for it to stop...

Noproblemo... I'm telling you... the people with the mediterranean diet have it wired... they eat a lot of fish, (lamb), greens, olive oil, lots of wine and guess what we continue to find .... they live for ever.... and they are really more active also.. and have a better mental attitude
So get in that kichen.. make some of that good old Scialian bread, have some really good olive oil.... and a couple bottles of wine... to get your appatite going in the right direction.. you might want to have some garlic around too... that seems to even keep mosquitos away in addition of vampires... So here's to adding in to good cheeze and some of that sasuage with bacon wrapped around to eat with your spaggatti ... WHAT EARTHQUAKE... ![]() ![]()
