Default Hola from Diverlandia

So what is it about this place that feels so homey and friendly already ??

Shari nick-named our place Diverlandia and we kinda like it.
For those that don't know us, we are in Washington, near Hood River with 2 kids, 2 dogs and soon to be 2 horses.
We have been traveling to Baja as a family for 13 years now and many more solo years before that.

First time to Bahia Asuncion we fell in love and with Shari's wonderful help and guidance, were able to find our dream property.
And now that we have the Trotters as neighbors and Tim, Barb and others in town, we are even more thrilled and anxious to build.

We thought we were close to retirement a few years ago but things are being .... delayed. Oh well, there is plenty of time.

Hoping to afford an uneventful drive to Bahia Asuncion in December.

PS I love all those emoticons !!

What do you mean, you do not want to spend all those days in El Rosario?

Gees, you had better make it down this year---or we will fill in that new septic!

Diver's last trip down was rudely interrupted by truck trouble.

yes, there were many of us who were anxiously following the truck saga, but not being in a position to help, we were there in spirit for them.

Howdy, Diver, from your neighbors a few miles to the north in WA, BajaNuts.

Like many here, I followed along with the Diver family saga and was glad to try to help in some small way and so very disappointed when their trip did not have the happy ending we all hoped for. They are a wonderful family and God knows they deserve a really super trip their next time time. Wishing you guys all kinds of good karma - you earned it!

What I do not remember ever hearing was what the dealer in Washington finally decided was wrong with the truck?

And Diver, is the truck still alive and well?

The truck is running fine.

The main problem turned out to be a fried FICM.
The issue was why the FICM went bad.
Personally, I think it is a bad wiring harness that shorts occassionally but they won't replace the wiring harness under warrantee.

They did admit fault in servicing my truck before I left and ended up paying about 25% of my costs.

Now that I know that the code reader can diagnose this issue and that once you replace the FICM, you need to program it in the truck, I have downloaded Ford's tuning programs to my laptop for the next trip.
