hello my name is jesse cortez and i'm new to this site and it's great to hear from people that love baja california i myself have relatives that live in san quintin and i will be starting to build my new home in colonia lazaro cardenas that's where i was raised i'm originally from michoacan mexico but came to san quintin in 1977 and it's a great place for me to spend time with my relatives my new place is going to be about five blocks away from the military base,where mercado alejandra is going towards the beach 5 blocks away,i also have many friends from childhood would like to visit new residents there,don't worry i'm fluent in english and can help anybody that needs anything from southern california. i'm probably going in mid september for a one week vacation,so let me know what's up baja friends ,hope to hear from somebody..thanks

Hola Jesse, bienvenido. I've been visiting San Quintin since around 1973. My dad would take my brothers and me. I remember duck hunting in what was a much smaller Colonia Cardenas. We used an old 410 shotgun. I recently started going to San Quintin again after about a 3 year absence. It just wasn't the same anymore driving down there without my dad who was ill and passed about 2 years ago. I was there last month for about 5 days. This month I will be there for about 3 days and in August I will be there for 5 to 6 days.

We'll hook up one of these days and burn some carne asada.

Forums seem to like a member ranking system of some sort or another based on posting. Some go with stars, others with names taken out of a star trek movie. Here I just decided to revert back to my long ago and (almost) forgotten days in the US Navy and came up with these...

Now that you mention it, I just noticed that I am getting close to a promotion....
