Quite true. The reasons revolve around the fact that Central and South American migrants are generally the poorest of the poor (sound familiar?). Poor Mexicans who may have aspirations of heading to El Norte certainly don't want any competition for available jobs. That's the social aspect to it.

As for the legal aspect, the Mexican immigration people are way more vigilant on their Southern border than on the Northern one.

I met this young person that as he put it back packed from pereau to the U.S. I would say he bumed it .He admited he had very litte money.and he was beat up and robed not once but several times
