The good news is that there has been great and positive changes from these programs. I have lots of family/friends who make the trip down here and it has been quite awhile since anybody mentioned any trouble with the TJ / Rosarito / Ensenada cops.

Still lots of work to do though and I truly hope that Mexico doesn't drop the ball...

Things have greatly quieted down in the border region. Many give credit to the current head of public safety. Just still waiting to see when the same quietude will be found in Cd. Constitucion.

The police force of Rosarito now requires previous military training. No more hiring friends of friends or moving unqualified people into the force. That's good too.

Did Rosarito raise the police salaries as they did in Tijuana?
