Actually, it's Papas, as in potatoes. Just wondering if anyone knows the history. There are three of these places in Baja. Rosarito, Ensenada, and La Paz. I assume theres no copyright on the name, because there are similarly named places all over the States. I ask about the history because for some reason, I thought the original was in Ensenada. Perhaps not, since I recall being in Ensenada in the early 70s and the prime spot was Hussongs. In any event, my sources tell me that more cruise passengers buy Papas & Beer merchandise than anything else.

If it's any consolation, I have never been to either Papas or Hussongs.

Maybe you could get the franchise for San Quintin!

I doubt San Quintin is high on their list for targeted communities to expand their operation but these days, little surprises me.
