Good for you - I have lost some weight but still working on losing some more this year. My goal is to get into my diving gear and help out when they start seeding the abalone out at the island...

My old weight got to me when I pulled out my Navy uniform from back in the day... I put it on, then could not get it off without someone else helping me. I was like the Pillsbury doughboy in that thing. I want to loose 10 more pounds and I will be happy.

Then the remainder of my time (1970 to 1972) aboard the USS Inchon, LPH-12 (now decommissioned)

Upon obtaining my reactor operating license at Idaho I was asked to stay on and worked as a trainer in the lab on primary/reactor chemistry. After that I spent two years on the aft reactor on the USS Long Beach.

Lots of stories there - none which I can tell...

I guess today's Navy is a lot different than when we were in. I think I would have liked for Capt. Honors to be my skipper.

Wasn't in the Navy, but... I'm sure he was a super individual to have in charge...

Anyone that opens it up for humor to keep moral up... is spot on in my book..

Sorry the Old Salt has become so sensitive to how the "folks" get er done in the field... as to my knowledge they do "get it done" ... nuff said...

The Skipper should retain his position. He was off the edge yes.
