Default RIGHT FRONT STABILIZER REPLACEMENT KIT

Yesterday I replaced the right front Stabilizer Bar kit on my 2003 Ford Ranger Baja Mobile as it was toast. It took me a little over one hour. Here are some before and after shots.

BEFORE

AFTER

Next on the agenda is to replace my upper and lower ball joints.

THE END

I need to do some of the same front end suspension work on my Yukon. Running back and forth to town for a couple of years on this road has taken its toll and I was going to shop for parts my next trip north of the border.

Where did you get the parts for your truck, at the dealer, auto parts store or online?

Hi Ron,

I usually order parts on-line but because Karen needed the Ranger this Monday I went to Auto Zone and bought the part for $15.00...This is my first time tinkering with the suspension and it was relatively easy to do after watching some on-line how to videos. Just remember to torque everything at the recommended Ft-lbs.

Here in Ensenada most parts are readly avalible I noticed a cv joint boot on my Suburban was torn so i checked on line and found how cheap it was to replace the whole axel assy. I had both sides done.Dont want to get stranded 50 miles from nowhere. I had the front and rear diferential both rebuilt while i was at it The Burb wasnt pulling like i wanted it too so I changed the gear ratois. Now it pulls my loaded toyhauler like it isnt even there.

Some folks ask me why we have four vehicles?

I hate to be left stranded and it seems I always have one of them at the mechanic taking care of one thing or another...

I owned a over the road truck for Quite a while I learned ouick those road service charges can get in your pocket fast. Living down here reminds me of the past you can get things fixed here. For the most part the mechanics are fixers not parts changers like in the states. I like that. A good backup vehicle is almost critical.
