Default Campo Rene

A few years ago my wife and I drove through Punta Abreojos and wanted to spend some time at Campo Rene. We were so low on fuel that we passed it up to see if we could make it to the Pemex in San Ignacio. We did. But, we missed spending some time at Campo Rene.

We have always wondered if it is worth a special side trip from MX-1 the next time we head South. What goes on at Campo Rene and how much time could one spend there? What is there to do?

That was a great trip! Is there much around Campo Rene or are they pretty isolated?

David, did you spend the night there? Or, were you just passing through. I'd like to know more.
Thanks, Bob

PS: Great road trip you had back in 2007, for sure.

The page with four Campo Rene photos is : http://vivabaja.com/707/page8.html

No, we just drove in to have a look... and were going to have lunch there at the big fancy restaurant overlooking the mangroves... but when we asked what they had, the answer was hamburgers!!! Not what I want to eat usually in Mexico on vacation... So we just went out to the truck and made sandwiches and left... We checked out San Ignacio, ate in Mulege (El Patron), and camped at El Requeson that and the following nights. The day began in Asuncion, and we covered lots of ground!

I love where we live and haven't done much traveling since we've retired, but David's pictures sure give me the itch to see more.

DK's picture taking is just super.. I'm so glad he is not afraid to grab that camera and shoot.. many, many have camera's but, don't use them half enough .....

Even when I'm able to shoot.. I find that I didn't ever take ENOUGH !!!!

Have now set my Camera on to multiple capture... so I'm shooting 3-6 shoots every time..

I have only used its "movie" feature once or twice.. its only up to 720P, but with the memory.. good for 86 minutes.. for photos 1026... so shoot away..

Ya might get something good.. like DK.. he gets what folks are looking for.. who, what, where, when, why... of the thing...

Now if we can only get him show flex on the "car" issue ....

There is so much to see in Baja Sur... Get out and have a look!

A few photos from 2009 (San Ignacio, Londo, San Javier, La Perla)

Oh well... sorry, but photos didn't load and the edit feature here doesn't have a way to add photos.

Actually it does - when you edit click "Go Advanced"

If you have already used the photos you can link to them using the image tool on the reply to thread box. By clicking on the attachments area of your user control panel (last one on the left side) you can find the photos you uploaded as attachments in the past.

Wow...

I think I will just go back and use the method I do on Nomad, and that is links to my Photobucket albums. Hopefully they will always be online!

Goodnight Ron!

That means that there are already photos uploaded by you with the same exact file name on the server. Could be the same pics, or could be just the same name but different pics.

Yay, Ron; for telling us how to find all of our uploads with a few clicks:
Quote:
User CP(Control Panel) at upper left of page>>>Attachments(under Miscellaneous) at lower left
Super simple to re-post in another thread: Right click on the URL for the photo you already uploaded and want to display in another thread>>>Copy link location>>>Click the little Insert Image icon above the text entry field >>>Right click and paste the URL into the field and click "OK." It wraps the URL in image tags just like on many other boards.

Preview and it should now display in the new thread without having to upload it again.
