Re: Danish Humana Organization in Baja
Lots of rumors and none of it any good. Weird group and the consensus is don't mess with them. They seem to have paid top dollar for the site and even more to help keep their image / faces off the radar screen down here...
Here you can see more photos of the complex... Las Pulgas Slideshow

Re: Danish Humana Organization in Baja
Well that jives with the link I posted. From the pictures $10 million might be low, looking at the quality of the construction.

Re: Danish Humana Organization in Baja
Some folks down here toss around a figure of closer to $50 million including the land - they spared no expense including a lot of (very expensive) imported building materials.

I seem to recall that there was a thread about this group over on Nomad some time back.
Maybe I'm naive, but the whole thing seems preposterous to me. A huge successful international money laundering scheme based on donated used clothing? Tvindalert At a glance |

Re: Danish Humana Organization in Baja
I know - there is nothing about this group that makes any sense whatsoever if you compare their public image/purpose with reality.
Probably why so many rumors are flying around about them down here...

Re: Danish Humana Organization in Baja
The very fact that they have armed, non-Mexican guards carrying 9mm's and more tells you that they have some "special" privileges...

Re: Danish Humana Organization in Baja
When someone first posted a photo of the project taken from an airplane... I was sure it had to be a doctored photo... then people posted photos of those buildings taken from the ground.... unreal. The ground right up to the building edge seems undisturbed,,, with the agave all about as if it wasn't touched. Even the inside look photos don't seem real...
The location is way north of Colonet, on the coast just south of Santo Tomas (north of San Vicente/ Erendira), by-the-way.

Re: Danish Humana Organization in Baja
Hi guys,
We have been investigating this weird set up for years - the top guys are wanted for questioning by the Danish police. But it's an international scam. They make their money through skimming from Third World aid charities, and especially the international used clothes 'charity' business. The same guys run several big used clothing 'charities' in the USA, specifically Planet Aid, Humana People-to-People, U'SAgain and a set up called Gaia - along with numerous other scams, offshore shell companies and Swiss bank accounts. The set-up is called 'Tvind' or 'Humana' or 'Teachers Group', and is probably an extreme leftist organisation or a cult. Here's our website: http://www.tvindalert.com If you want to become a gumshoe and join us to investigate the truth behind all this, please come on board. We are always interested to hear anything about the San Juan de las Pulgas complex. The people from 'Tvind Alert' web site in Britain and the USA. |

IICD Watch - Intro
This page is like 9 years old. Just wondering about how long this so-called investigation has be ongoing, and what has fundamentally resulted from said investigation. With my limited intellectual capacity, I have some trouble figuring out how it is that such a nefarious worldwide organization has seemingly been able to operate below the radar for so long despite organized attempt to "out" them. |

Re: Danish Humana Organization in Baja
Why is it taking so long to 'out' the people behind the San Juan complex? Very good question! The short answer is that the media outside Denmark have shown very little interest - it's too complicated - and even when they do (Fox News, ABC, all the Scandinavian media), authorities don't follow up.
The long answer is that the crazies behind this are very good at concealing their association with each other, they bamboozle the authorities with different names and a maze of enterprises, and present a philanthropic face to the world......internationally, police and governments don't work together or share information.....and it's very easy to money launder. Nobody's that bothered. So they continue to get away with it! |

Re: Danish Humana Organization in Baja
Just to tell you a bit more - we regularly continue to collect masses of information about this group from all kinds of sources, from people who have had dealings with them or know something or other......there is always something new.........we are constantly turning up new leads, like different front companies and tacky scams of one sort or another. It's all going into the files for eventual use.
I'm a journalist, my colleagues in the USA are concerned private citizens. If any of you guys have good connections in Mexico or know how to do basic research from Mexican public records, we have lots of leads in Mexico that we'd like to check out. Mostly about the money trail and the companies they set up to finance and equip the place. We're always interested in fresh anecdotes and new pictures of the facility too. We did get someone in there to take some pictures a couple of years ago before it was sealed off by the armed perimiter guards - there's a page and slideshow here: Tvind Alert page on Mexico Slide show of Las Pulgas So keep us posted if you hear anything new |
