Anyone else see a bit of unfortunate irony here in that Calderon and Mexican officials were not in the loop, and this story broke after a US ICE agent was killed by one of those weapons?

On a slightly different note, I do think it is entirely possible that one of the motivations of this program was to show up those folks NOB who have been complaining that the US was being wrongly accused of being the source for so much of the "heavy artillary" being used by the cartels. We'll show you!
