I find this map very handy for planning shopping trips and finding our way around La Paz.

That map was already around when I started coming here in 2005, so some things are out of date. It still shows Aerocalifornia, for example. I think the original Las Tres Virgenes opened in late 2006 and the current one in late 2008, so neither location would be on there.

If memory serves me, aren't the old and new Tres Virgenes locations just about across the street from each other?

I didn't notice there were points of interest on the map til you mentioned it Kate. I was happy to find this simple map that made it easier to figure out how to get to City Club from Walmart, then to the immigration office, etc. Google earth is great for looking at details in La Paz, but I have a heck of a time when I want to zoom out to get the big picture of a location in the city or to try and map out a route using GE. I haven't had problems using GE for most cities but for some reason i have trouble using it for La Paz- ( unusal geography or operator impairment?) Maybe I'm still hung up on that thing about driving South, but you're actually heading North
![]() Are there better La Paz street maps around? I like the El Moro map because when the copies are enlarged I can actually see the street names and my copies have notes all over them now. |

I found it very easy to get momentarily lost today driving around.....however, me sense of direction is keen and we all survived. My wife didn't even ask me if I knew where I was going. That's a good woman. Of course, she isn't much on pointless questions.

Oladulce, the streets haven't changed in the center of town, so that map definitely still has its uses! Just so folks know not to look for AeroCalifornia, Carlos & Charlie's, Home Depot, etc.
![]() The map was very helpful to me until I needed to go to parts of town that aren't on it. Unfortunately, the only detailed street map I've found for the whole city is also out of date. There was one in a marketing brochure that even had the colonias, but the print was so tiny I needed a magnifying glass to read it. I'm waiting for them to come out with one that shows all the building supply places, hardware stores, yonkes, and segundas. ![]() |

We've used that map for several years, as we stay at El Moro most of the time we visit La Paz. Now if we could get the City of La Paz to actually put street signs on their streets, then we might be able to get around the town efficiently.
