OK OK OK....
Been on the road and really busy the last several days, including driving over 1500 miles. Seriously though, if this were my operation I would have paid these guys off long before it ever made a news cycle... ![]()

A looong time ago a friend of mine from...a town near there...told me a hysterical story.
Seems that an officer with the 67th was missing some of his men for a while, so he organized a search party to go find them. Again; somewhere near that general area. Finds them goofing off/living it up at some weed grow. ![]() |

![]() ![]() The Mexican government has called the 300-acre (120 hectare) marijuana field the biggest such plantation ever found in the country. The field had escaped detection for several months in part because it was covered by shade cloth. The Defense Department said Monday that 472 soldiers pulled up all the plants. They burned them in giant bonfires at the clandestine plantation south of the town of San Quintin. The army says the plantation was capable of producing about 120 tons of marijuana worth about 1.8 billion pesos ($160 million). More... |

Biggest Ever Marijuana Field Belonged to 'El Chapo'
Written by Nathan Jones | InsightCrime.org Monday, 18 July 2011 15:03 Mexico's Army has said that a 120 hectare marijuana farm, the largest ever discovered in the country, was owned by drug lord Joaquin Guzman, alias 'El Chapo.' Military sources have revealed that the huge drug plantation was operated by the Sinaloa Cartel, headed by the infamous Joaquin "El Chapo" Guzman, according to media reports. The marijuana fields were discovered in farmland off the Guerrero Negro-Ensenada highway in Baja California, Soldiers detained 16 farmers working on the plantation, though it is thought that it had a workforce of over 100 people. ![]() On Friday, the army initiated the process of destroying the plantation. It is estimated that the eradication process will take 60 soldiers around 15 days to complete. President Felipe Calderon congratulated the Secretariat of National Defense for dealing a "big blow" to those who were operating the plantation. The Sinaloa Cartel, once dominant in drug trafficking operations throughout Baja California, is now losing ground. Interpol recently stated that drug exports from the Sinaloa cartel have declined in recent years, as Zetas and other groups gain power. source... |
