Default Mexico Acknowledges US Presence, But..

Mexico Acknowledges U.S. Intel Agents Operating Within The Country, But Won't Discuss

Here's the part that is somewhat disconcerting:

"The participation of U.S. agents and the designation of a new U.S. ambassador, Anthony Wayne, whose last posting was Afghanistan, has raised concerns that America may view Mexico as an Afghan-style battleground."

On the other hand, just imagine what things would look like today, had we kept our interests and actions closer to home!

There are more US intel assets (excluding DEA, FBI, ATF) in Mexico - and there has been for a long time - than you can imagine. If you think otherwise, you are living in a vaccum.........think Pablo Escobar

Next time you see a picture of Mexican Marines, look real close, clue Mexicans arn't very tall. Look for the real tall ones with long sleeve camo and gloves, and of course the black masks. Ask your self that guy is pretty big for a Mexican.

Oh boy...not all mexicans are 4 foot 2 inch pure mexican indians. There are a fair amount of 5'10" mexicans and probably enough Mexicans in the population to have 6 footers too! (European Spanish/German decent etc.). Most of the time I see a small squad of army personell but did come across one day a whole truckload of Mexican Marines that looked like US Marines but I still believe them to be Mexican troops.

You are correct there are tall and big Mexicans, but I would say the average is about 5 ft 8 in or less. The ones you saw where probably not Mexican. Think about it the US has been doing this stuff since Kennedy and the Green Berets, of course no one is going to say yes but the Attorney General of Mexico has some interesting bed fellows? I do know that

I have heard a few locals down here wonder out-loud about some of the very tall military types toting high powered rifles and wearing black masks. I used to dismiss the idea but lately I wonder...

I think they are called US Marines, we are in every place. I spent 6 years as an Army Recruiter in San Antonio, TX, guess how many brown skinned boys that I signed up, my 22 year old son speaks Spanish. The US government gives money away but I can tell you with that gift comes other thinks, that big Mexican American you may meet might be working for the US, or the PGR

Wink Re: Mexico Acknowledges US Presence, But..

In the past half a dozen years coming down to Baja, I have never seen a tall Marine. I can't speak for the rest of the country however. Yes, I think I can envision a U.S.military apparatus of some sort working with it's Mexican counterpart, but not out in the open. If something like that were to be uncovered, I think it would be a disaster, politically speaking, on both sides of the border. But then again stranger things have happened (i.e. Fast & Furious).
I just pray that eventually they get a handle on the situation. I'm reaching retirement in a few years.
