Default We're still here

Since we have been back from baja we have been totally submerged in a mold, neglectful landlord situation.
We have explored retirement options clear from the other BC....British Vancouver to everything in between since we have scattered family in many places.
However, our hearts keep coming back to the San Jose del Cabo area.
As soon as we get through all the attorneys and dishonest people we'll be back here chatting it up.
It has been a serious and debilitating effort at living like humans for the past two months.
Saludos to all.

SP & family....that really sucks!!!

I know that the kids had a lot less allergy problems while they were down here....excellent reason to give serious consideration to SOB as opposed to North of the Northern border. Then there is that pesky cost of living thing!

I don't envy you the extended family issues which are making your decision-making process even more difficult, but I applaud your position of wanting to teach your children responsibility by living your life as a good example!! It's a fine line between living the best life for your immediate family & being in the position of having to make life decisions based on expanding your responsibilities out to extended family.

One day at a time, one battle at a time & sift, sift, sift!!!

San Jose Del Cabo area? Did I miss something, or weren't you all over La Paz as the ultimate choice?

SJD is definitely more expensive on just about all counts.

I know that feeling and can empathize. Whatever you decide / wherever you go - we all wish you nothing but the very best. I do know that feeling of a certain place that tugs at your heart as we went through that same emotion. We kept trying to find reasons to look elsewhere - our original plan was to find somewhere on-grid but in the end we couldn't find anywhere else that was a better fit for us. Today we know we made the right move and have never looked back since.

You guys just need to follow where your hearts lead you...
