Default Not a concern on NASA's radarscope....

But it looks like the southern tip of the Peninsula has got some WEATHER heading our way!! Might not have the conditions or characteristics of becoming a hurricane, but it looks damn impressive to me!!

Maybe we'll get a little rain....maybe not!

We're still sitting here on the north Pacific side of the peninsula, waiting for summer to finally arrive...

We've had light but steady rain in La Paz for an hour or so, with a bit of thunder. My power went off for about 15-20 minutes, and believe me, it really sucks when the fan stops!! Looks like this storm came across the gulf from the mainland.

Think this has been the coolest Aug, ever in Southern California... don't ever recall having the marine layer all through August ... before... and the month is almost over.. today it's only 68º in Mission Viejo, CA at 10:29 am ...

I keep telling people that this fall will probably go on record as being warmer than the summer...

It is amazing that this summer has been so overcast and cool out here where we are at. Just a fifteen mile drive east across the volcanoes down into the San Quintin valley and it is a different (hotter) story...

Well the good news is that in spite of the fact it was foggy with 100% humidity at 5:30AM, the weather fairy looked down on us and granted us a beautiful day once the sun broke through mid-morning.

And she wasn't even glistening...
