We just bought some beach property in Ejido Chapala and are thinking about building we currently reside in San Diego and looking forward to spending a lot of time in Baja.

You bought ejido land? Or has the land you bought been legally removed from the ejido ownership & title issued to make it legal to sell? Are you of Mexican heritage or is the land being held in fideicomiso? Where exactly is Ejido Chapala? Assuming it's northern Baja, near the border?
