I have to pick up a friend from the San Diego airport tomorrow at one, then another Saturday morning. Anyone cross today that can give updates on the wait time? I usually allow a good two hours...

6 hours from La Fonda to San Diego Intl.
Tried San Ysidro first, but many streets were closed, and I am still unfamiliar with side streets. Otay was 4+ hours in line. |

Ya know, maybe they should hire the Narco's for the new construction.. they could put in an 'underground" rail transportation system along with four lanes of traffic north and south for all ... within a few months, given proper conditions .... I would guess..
And it wouldn't even interupt the current border crossing SY and/or Otay one little bit... just saying .. ![]()

I have to cross again tomorrow....oh my.
Does anyone have an idea if the Independence day festivities are over, streets open? Coming back to Baja last night, the line into the states at San Ysidro was pretty darn short (why me?), only about to the end of the shops by where the foot line goes. I think I have developed an allergy to waiting in line over 2 hours. Anyone think Tecate would be a smarter choice? Beverlymudhen |
