We had to have our garage door hinge replaced today. It's a huge hinge and a pretty big job, but this isn't really a story about the repair, it's about his helper:






This guy is only 9 years old, but one of the smartest kids I've ever come across. We couldn't get the hinge to come off and he offered suggestions that neither his dad nor I could come up with . (ok, maybe thats an indication of my abilities )





When papi needed a tool he had it ready before papi knew he needed it, always the correct size wrench just by eying at the bolt.

He later became very concerned because my tools were getting mixed up with papi's tools. He meticulously separated mine and remembered the exact location where to put them away in the garage. Constantly cleaned up after us without anyone asking. Always with a huge smile

I don't have children and don't pay too much attention but this guy was something else.

It's a wonderful thing to take pride in one's work; isn't it?
