Not sure what's happening, but the same stuff that comes out of the shower-head is happening outside & it's been happening for a couple hours! I seem to recall this stuff from all my years in the Pacific Northwest, but the name of it escapes me! It's making a noise when it hits the ground too!

We got .39 inches of whatever it is. Not much, but the most we've had in the two years we've been here. Unfortunately...thinking the non-existent rainy season was over, I installed the drywall around my solar tubes before sealing the roof

I figures in the three or so weeks it will take to get the roof sealer, there was very little chance of "that stuff" falling from the sky. Perfect.

Here in Central La Paz we've had a pretty steady drizzle on and off for the past couple of hours. My neighbor tells me that more is coming overnight. We needed it ... better late than never!! Sorry about your drywall, though, BigWooo.

I like it>>>

I get to check if I have any leaks from my "NEW" House.

I don't know how much anybody else got but based on the water level in our pool I would say we go close to 1" if not more as of 9:15 pm. :)

Are we going to see some flowers that we (I) have not seen before? Well in the last few years I understand>>>

I actually like it too! It'll keep the dust down for a few days! It's strange, but typically we get rain or it rains in town & IF we both get precipitation, rarely are the amounts downtown & out here equal! Here's a local site which showed nada annual rainfall last time I looked about a month ago, so it looks like whatever actual point they record the rainfall got about 1.40" & my pool looks like it rose maybe 1-1.5" as well.

Don't blink!! The desert's going to start to green up immediately & within a couple days you'll be seeing all kinds & colors of wildflowers emerging, where yesterday there was only dry dusty dirt! You'll probably see/hear frogs & toads (possibly practicing their breast stroke in your pool!) & unfortunately, whole bunches of flying & crawling critters will also hatch out to pester us!

Wooo, you're putting that drywall up is the reason it rained!! You have a good crew, so you might not even have any leaks! You seeing any water stains on the drywall?

Take a break occasionally & watch the area around you burst into bloom over the next few days!

We have a few leaks, mostly around the solar tubes, but several other spots also. I knew that was going to happen if it rained (which I was hoping it wouldn't). I'm waiting to get a product from the U.S. to seal the solar tubes, deck, and flat areas on the roof.

Something about using the foam blocks, I've never seen a pour that didn't crack some when it cured. On all my roofs, no matter who poured them, I've had to use a sealer on the flat areas. This roof is no exception.

I won't have the sealer for a few more weeks. I realy doubt it will rain again before I get the stuff, but if I fix it....it'll rain for sure!

I'm not sure if we got enough rain to green things up.

Oh, I wasn't suggesting you won't need sealer ever, just that with a good crew, your leaks should be minimal....say for instance, just around the drywall areas!

It always amazes me just how little rain it takes to get the desert to burst forth with green, immediately followed by an amazing array of other colors! So keep the camera handy & don't blink!
