An additional 17 cases have been reported to the State Board of Realtors (CepiBC), persons who claim to have been defrauded by two real estate agents working with the Century 21 real estate branch "Acacia".

Victor Loza, president of CepiBC said July 12 at the time the board has received complaints following the complaint made by Guatemalan Galo Tello, amounting to 18 cases of alleged fraud committed by Pedro Gurrola and his partner Margaret Gomez, sales representatives of Century 21 Acacia.

The figures for the amounts defrauded are varied, explained Loza, but range from 3 thousand to 105 thousand dollars and 60% of affected people and the rest are regional Mexico and South Americans.

The real estate leader, said that the alleged fraudulent activities were made in the process of buying and selling houses, most of them located in Tijuana and only two in the Coastal Zone.

It was also announced that the board will assist and advise those affected during the legal processes to follow in this case as it is seen as an abuse of the trust of investors, and even more when in theory that it occurred with a company that has the credibility of the Century 21 name in the United States.

Loza said that according to the statement made by the complainants the fraud began in November 2009, when the pair of real estate agents kept the client's money while the deals were never finalized and they never saw any of their money back.

"Such cases cause great damage to those of us who really are doing things right and proper under the law", said the real estate board leader who called for the authorities to act quickly and expeditiously to rule in this case.
