It is with a very, very heavy heart that we share that yesterday afternoon we lost our beloved and faithful doberman Beba. She loved exploring the beach here with our other dogs and driving fear into every rabbit within a mile. She will be remembered forever in our hearts...

Very sad news, Ron. Beba was a real beauty, and that's a gorgeous photo of her doing what she loved best. Lo siento.

Thanks guys for all the posts and private messages of support. We put up a headstone for Beba today - I literally cried my eyes out just thinking that she is gone...

No one should have to bury their kids. Sorry you had to do that.

Perhaps it serves to keep us aware of our own mortality and come to terms with it. So many of us live our lives like the journey will have no end.

Unless you've had an animal that is part of your life and so very much loved, there is no way to explain the hurt to someone else. I have five and especially love Dobies. Big lap dogs if you let them. Remember, after a time, there is another four footer out there that needs you.

They just don't live long enough.

Sorry for your loss Ron.
We lost our Lhasa and cat a year and a half ago. Both in the same month.
I look at their pictures daily and relive the great times they gave us for 16 years.
What treasures they are.

So sorry for your loss. We had to put down our little guy Arnie in January. He was a Min Pin and could pass as your dog's little brother.
