Yesterday my dog went bonkers barking and growling at the window. On investigation I found a large male dove sitting on top of the casement, and he would NOT budge! I started to open the screen, thinking the noise would scare him away, and there was his señora dove on the sill, stuck between my screen and window. She must have hopped into the casement opening, hit the screen, and fallen down into the space, which was barely as wide as she was. I managed to release her without touching her. She rejoined her man, who was still waiting a few feet away on my front door overhang, and they both flew off.

This morning I found these souvenirs of Sr. Dove's frantic attempts to rescue his mate. And yeah, I know my windows are filthy.

Now you can never wash the windows, you have to preserve the art....

Sounds like a plan, Wooo!!
