Nativa 2009 Festival of Traditional Arts of Baja California - Aug 1/2

A cultural gathering of native artists from the Pai-Pai, Kumiai, Cucapá and Kiliwa communities who present their pottery, basketry, beaded jewelry and other unique handmade items and offer traditional foods, interactive crafts classes, an arts contest and informational exhibits at Plaza Ventana al Mar on the waterfront at the giant flagpole near Blvd. Costero (Lázaro Cárdenas) & Av. Alvarado, Ensenada. The “Kuri Kuri” (a traditional gathering of gourd singers) reunites members of related tribal groups from California, Arizona and Baja California as they share traditions of music and dance.
