As the criminal justice system improves, you will see changes across society:

Banking will get easier, red tape will lessen and insurance rates will drop. Optimists may hope that crime will also be less appealing and lawyers might not suck as much blood.

These changes will take years to occur so as to be practically unnoticeable--check back in 2018 and compare.

Not so sure this is the fix all/cure all band-aid but it is a very good start. I suspect that Mexico will put its own "flavor" to the process. It certainly will be interesting to watch it develop...
