Default Tijuana Drug Recycling- It all doesn't go up in smoke.

This isn't a good sign- previously confiscated drugs went back into circulation. Too stupid and lazy to change the packaging. These are not smart people, just opportunists with Scarface wishes and Hong Kong dreams.

Localizan mariguana "marcada"

TIJUANA BC, January 8, 2013 - Elements of the State Preventative Police found more than 5 metric tons of marijuana. It appears the drugs are marked as previously seized drugs, for which they are investigating which agency is indicated by the codes printed on the packages.

The State Secretary of Public Security reported that as a result of an anonymous complaint, they went to a warehouse in Ejido Francisco Villa, on calle Tehuacán, where the drugs were stored.

Upon responding to the call to this area of La Presa Rural district, dozens of packages of marijuana were found, of which it was unofficially reported, were marked as being previously seized by federal authorities. As such, they awaited the arrival of the Federal Prosecutor to examine the events and initiate an investigation in the case.

Be interesting to see if there is any follow-up news on this or if they try to make the story itself go "up in smoke"...

The Military makes this big show when they burn the drugs at the Tijuana army base. It just looks like burro and muy burro to me. This won't be seen as a crime, it's just "troublemakers" taking advantage of an opportunity and not even doing that well. They may tap dance, but I doubt they'll even bother a show now that the previous generals have rotated out. No big deal, just interesting.

When the interests of the guys on trial (for half the amount they were busted with) converge with arresting officers...

Now there's a timeless theme in narcotics enforcement.

I sure wouldn't leap up in open court to shout "But your honor; we really had much more dope!"

Unfortunately that analogy plays out all over the globe with law enforcement. We hope that the frequency is rare, but is does happen:

Bad track record for CBP officers

Heard on the news today the (recycled) pot was Chapo's and 6 were killed in Tijuana in a span of 8 hours, supposedly linked to the (re)captured marijuana...

both. It's better for the crime stats if they don't find the bodies in TJ. They should drop ship them to Torreon where no one would notice a few more bodies.
