My cleaning lady, Maria, surprised me with a Spanglish word the other day. She saw me holding a sparrow that had knocked itself out on a plate glass window and asked if that was a "birdito."
That's as close as Maria will ever come to saying anything in English.

The birdito came to and flew away.

I have heard several commutations of english-spanish along the border. That is a new one Dennis.

Friends from Spain tell me the same thing is happening along the border areas of Europe. We'll probably all end up speaking a single language one day.
