I wonder why the NRA is opposed to controlling straw purchases? They always quote the slippery slope analogy (meaning any law will eventually lead to a communist state that bans all weapons from pirvate citizens) but honestly, things like drunk driving were MUCH worse before legislation took effect and enforcement was stepped up. No one took away the right to drive from private citizens, and no one is going to take away the right to own guns responsibly. Paranoia is a sad thing in a powerful lobby.
